Moving From Sonic.net Hosting? We’ll Handle Everything For You — Free.

Sonic.net is shutting down web hosting. Net10 has been hosting websites since 1995 — real people, U.S.-based support, and a free white-glove migration so your site and email never miss a beat. Read more about Net10 here.

You Already Know What Good Hosting Feels Like. We Kept It That Way.

Sonic.net earned your loyalty by being a real company you could actually talk to — not a faceless mega-host. When you move to Net10, that doesn’t change. We’ve supported websites, email, and small businesses since 1995, and every support ticket goes to a real person who knows your account, not a script.

No Technical Headaches

Send us your Sonic export file (the .wpress file from the migration tool Sonic recommends) or just give us access — our team handles the entire move, including WordPress, static sites, and email.

Zero Downtime

We coordinate DNS cutover so your site and email keep working throughout the move — no “site down” window, no bounced emails.

Real Humans, Real Support

Every account gets a direct line to our support team. No overseas call centers, no chatbots pretending to be people.

How the Free Migration Works

Three Steps. We Do the Hard Part.

  1. Tell us about your site. Fill out the form below — domain name, whether it’s WordPress or something else, and how many mailboxes you need moved (if you’re moving email).
  2. We migrate everything. Our team moves your site files, database, and email in the background — no interruption to your live site.
  3. We flip the switch. Once everything’s tested and verified on our end, we update your DNS. Most customers never notice a moment of downtime.

Simple, Transparent Hosting Plans

Starting at $15/month for WordPress hosting with free migration included.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to do anything technical to migrate?
No. Send us your Sonic export file or account access, and our team handles the technical migration for you.
Will my email stop working during the move?
No — we coordinate the DNS change so email keeps flowing throughout the migration.
Do I still own my domain name?
Yes. Your domain is separate from your hosting. Sonic has also confirmed that simple DNS redirection through their Member Tools isn’t affected by the hosting retirement — we can help you transfer or repoint your domain either way, but you retain full ownership regardless.
How much time do I have?
Sonic has announced it will retire all domain-based web hosting on January 15, 2027. That may sound far off, but Sonic itself is encouraging customers to migrate now rather than wait until the deadline — and getting it done early means you avoid the rush as more customers wait until the last minute.
I'm on an old sonic.net/~username page — does this apply to me?
Yes, eventually. Sonic has said legacy personal hosting pages (sonic.net/~user, user.user.sonic.net, etc.) will also be shut down, with affected customers contacted separately. If you have one of these older sites, now is a good time to get ahead of it — we can move it to a proper domain and hosting plan before Sonic’s own redirect service is your only option.
I’ve been working with Net10.net for 15+ years. I use them for my domain hosting/technical contact. I have always had a personal point of contact for support, unlike the larger hosting companies.
